Settled beneath the shoulder of the breathtaking Shawangunk Ridge, New Paltz shines as one of the jewels of Ulster County. Where is the Taste of New Paltz?

The Ulster County Fairgrounds is located on Libertyville Road, just 2 miles from the heart of New Paltz.

From the South and North – Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 18 New Paltz. Take a left onto Route 299 West through the village and follow signs to Libertyville Road – first left after crossing bridge outside of town.

From the East – Mid-Hudson Bridge North on Route 9W to Route 299 West to the village of New Paltz. Follow signs to Libertyville Road. First left after crossing bridge outside of town.

From the West – From Route 209 In Kerhonkson, take 44/55 East over mountain to Route 299 East. Right turn onto Libertyville Road – approximately 2 miles.


What’s the deal with Parking?

Parking is FREE in the main parking lot for 12,000 cars. Dedicated handicapped parking is located within the main parking near the Entrance.

Handicap Parking / Grounds
Display your handicap ID and the parking attendant will direct you to our handicap parking area. This parking area is the closest parking to the entrance. Over the past couple of years, the Ulster County Fair has improved the grounds for handicap access by blacktopping main areas for easier access.
